I'm definitely sure it's possible. It's just up to the game developer wether or not it's implemented. I'm sure that EA won't take advantage of it because they get a lot of money from recording artists in return for featuring music in "EA Sports Trax".
There are a lot of other companies who do want it though. Microsoft Game Studios of course and it'll always have it's place in the GTA series. |

streaming from pc? hmm not sure, are u using the integrated music player? or the main guide button blade?
and it doesnt have to have it in the game, its universal, you can play music on any game cept for original xbox games, but works for any 360 game...
press the guide button (center X on the controller) and go down to where it says select music, it will then ask you from where do you want to play the music, my choices are either from my 460 HD or from my pc. you can also control the music from that guide blade, pause, back, foward, volume, and random. |

| | joenez | Jan 22, 2006 10:54am | I just would like to change songs while playing in game. I don't want to have to pause, bring up the guide and scroll over to change tracks. The music on Zuma or Bejeweled will drive you insane.
I have read that when they release the webcam for the 360 they are updating the dashboard, with extra features,(just rumors at this point, nothing officially stated by MS). Maybe they will incorporate this functionallity for music ....................I dunno wishful thinking.. |

| | CousCous | Jan 22, 2006 11:03am | Yeah that's wishful thinking Joenez.
It's not up to Microsoft. It's up to the game developers to implement this feature. There's only so many buttons on the controller and if the developer want them all allocated then that's what he gets. If the developer chooses to leave two buttons available for the sole perpose of switching tracks then we get that.
It's how it was in the old Xbox and it's how it'll always be. Not every single game allowed us to switch the songs with the black and white buttons. Most games we still had to pause and select the tracks from a menu. It's not too much trouble to hit the guide button and switch the track. At least we have that ability. |
